Celebrate
Motherhood
Mothers
& More turns 15.
The northern Wake county
chapter of Mothers & More is proud to commemorate the
organizations 15th anniversary. They will celebrate
with an Open House to be held Tuesday night, October
15th at 7:30 PM at St. Lukes Catholic Church in North
Raleigh.
"For 15 years Mothers &
More has been offering a sense of community to women
altering their careers over the course of their active
parenting years through its local chapters," says Jeni
Hruska, chapter co-leader. "We're pleased to be an
important part of this unique organization supporting
mothers."
Jeni's chapter has been
serving local mothers for more than three years. It
offers two meetings a month, on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday
evenings, with topical discussions and/or guest
speakers. In addition, the chapter offers a multitude of
opportunities for local moms to participate in moms
nights out, various playgroups, and mom & tot
activities. And if you are interested in skill-building
volunteer opportunities, the chapter and the national
organization have many positions to choose from.
"We are active
participants in our community, and a growing force
across the country," says co-leader Julie Blaisure.
"Mothers & More is the only womens organization that
addresses mothers transitions into, out of, and within
the paid workforce and nurtures the other than mother
needs and interests of its members."
Serving over 7500 members
in the US and beyond, Mothers & More is a non-profit
