Stay At Home With Pay
Tupperware "practice party" turns career opportunity for NC Mom.

When I was five months pregnant, I quit work as a Clinical Social Worker to become a stay-at-home Mom. My husband and I agreed that my income would all go to daycare anyway and valued what we could give our child by my staying home. Now he is almost four, I work my own business, have fun making money, and am still a stay-at-homer! Here is the scoop...

After my son was born I couldn’t have been happier with my choice. Who would have thought that I worried about being bored staying home! How could taking care of a child take all that time? Little did I know! We were busy at home and going out. We had playgroup and story times and our walks. We had errands, laundry, cleaning and meals to plan and cook. Time went by fast!

When my son was a year and a half old, I found myself visiting a friend’s playgroup. One of her friends had just started selling Tupperware and wanted to do a practice party with the playgroup. I was invited to attend and had a lot of fun. I was trying to reorganize my kitchen at the time and Tupperware seemed to be just what I was looking for to get that accomplished. So, I booked a party. After my party, and lots of free Tupperware later, I started to seriously consider selling.

Selling plastic bowls? I never thought that I would be selling anything, let alone Tupperware. I had never sold anything in my life! However, the benefits were worth trying something new!  I could make money, get out of the house, be with adults, have fun while working, buy Tupperware at a 35% discount, make money (did I already say that?) and still be at home with my son!

All I had to do was buy a kit to get started. I decided my goal for the first month would be to buy the kit, have one party to pay for my kit, and then quit guilt-free if I didn’t like it. I would lose absolutely nothing. Well, over two years later I am still going strong! For the first year I only had one party a month. Then I started to have two parties a month. The more money I made the more parties I wanted to do. Now I do anywhere from one to 5 parties a month. It is totally up to me. With my son starting school full time this month, I plan to do 2 parties a week. Of course, if I decide this is too much for me I can cut all the way back to one party a month if I want. The freedom is wonderful. I also do not have to worry about sick days for my son, or what I will do with him all summer! Another benefit is that the evenings I do parties, my husband has special time with his son! They both look forward to the nights I leave!

Giving Tupperware a try is simple and very inexpensive ... that alone is a great reason to try it out! If you are ready for a change, would like to make some money and would like to stay at home with the kids, just give me a call. I would be more than happy to answer any questions you have about my experience and even help you get started! You have nothing to lose and a great new career to gain!
