Too HOT To
Play Outside?
Summer temps are
soaring, making outside playtime less appealing.
Luckily, the Creativity for Kids line includes dozens of
hands-on arts, crafts, and pop-culture kits that appeal
to a variety of interests and skill levels. Stock up on
the kits the next time you're out shopping and you won't
have to resort to an all-day video-fest the next time
it's too hot to play outside.
For
example, the lively Bug Thermometer kit can add pizzazz
to thermometer reading, even when it's 95 degrees every
day! To assemble the thermometer, kids paint a wood and
wire butterfly thermometer that attaches to the window.
The kit, which received a Parents' Choice Award,
includes the paint, varnish and brush, so all you need
to supply is a painting surface and, unless you are
particularly brave, a smock.
